I am passionate about skating. It is one of my favorite things to do. One day I went to the rink to take photographs rather than to skate. Hauling in umbrella lighting and extension cords makes for quite a curious eyesore. Soon kids clamoring for my attention surrounded me. I must have photographed a hundred kids in various poses that day, mostly while I lay on my tummy in the floor directing my lighting assistants so as to capture the exact light and shadow I was searching to find. This is the result.
